Aga Khan University offers a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing designed to prepare students for modern healthcare demands. The training focuses on clinical skills, teamwork, patient-centered care, and evidence-based practice. Upon completing the course, graduates must pass a licensure exam by the Nursing Council of Kenya. Afterward, they serve a one-year internship before receiving a full practicing license. Entry Requirements and Application Details
To gain admission to the BScN program at Aga Khan University, you must meet certain academic qualifications. The university accepts students from a variety of educational backgrounds including KCSE, A-Level, and the International Baccalaureate (IB).Entry Requirements
KCSE Applicants- Minimum grade: C+ (plus)
- Cluster subjects:
- Option A: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, English or Kiswahili
- Option B: Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, English or Kiswahili
- Principal passes in Biology and Chemistry (grade C minimum)
- At least a subsidiary pass in Mathematics or Physics
- Grade 4 or higher in Biology, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Physics

How to Apply
You must apply online via the Aga Khan University admissions portal. If you can’t access the online form, request a paper-based application by emailing the admissions office. Whether applying online or via hard copy, you must submit the following documents:- KCSE, A-Level, IB, or equivalent academic certificates
- School leaving certificate
- National ID, Passport, or Birth Certificate (for applicants under 18)
- Equivalence certificate (if applicable)
- Two recent passport-sized photographs
- Photos must be clear, colored, and taken on a white background
- Snapshots or mobile phone pictures are not allowed
Admission Timeline
