Detectives have laid siege to the JKIA after word went around that Deputy President William Ruto linked business lady was to fly in from Lusaka Zambia. But word has it that she got the intel and postponed the journey throwing the detectives into a frenzy of confusion.
But how Business lady Mary Wambui Mungai of Purma Holdings Limited got the intel is no surprise since she is very connected to win Kenyan military tenders, defraud taxpayers and even evade taxes, the reason for her recent troubles.
This is not the first time Mary Wambui Mungai is being exposed. In 2019, this site exposed how she had instigated a scandal at the procurement department at the national assembly. So monied is Wambui that she managed to buy all the prostitutes in the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) to win a lucrative tender. Read full story here

According to KRA, Mary Iambi Mungai, a member of the Friends of Jubilee Foundation lobby which raised millions of shillings for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election campaign in 2017 in two hours, was last month summoned along with her two daughters to shed light on the alleged unpaid taxes.
The KRA says the directors of the company were summoned on June 25 but failed to appear. Instead, their lawyer appeared before the KRA and sought an extension of the summons to June 28. Come the appointed day, says the KRA, the lawyer said the clients would not be attending because Ms Mungai was out of the country.

The two women are now accusing their mother of illegally adding them as directors of a firm that is being investigated over alleged Sh2 billion tax evasion. Nyambura and Njoki asked the court to give them anticipatory bail as they could be arrested, adding that KRA should wait for their mother to return and carry her own burden. They say they are neither Purma shareholders, employees, agents, nor customers of Purma.
Purma is said to be a supplier of Kenya military uniforms and camouflage materials.
Yesterday, Justice Githua granted the two Sh500,000 bail and ordered them to appear before KRA investigators on or before July 19.
