Glasgow Airport made history last night when the Emirates A380 landed in Scotland.

It was the first time the world’s largest commercial passenger aircraft had been put on a schedule, and Glaswegians turned out in their droves to see the spectacle.

After lots of planning and preparation, the impressive plane will now fly between Glasgow and Dubai for the next six months.

Weighing in at 575 tonnes, with a wingspan of 79.8 metres and with 14 private suites on board, it's no wonder the arrival of this plane has caused a bit of a storm.
