[ad_1] Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has accused detectives from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) of mishandling him.

Governor Sonko claimed that the officers harassed him during his appearance at Integrity Centre early this month, where he had been summoned for grilling over corruption allegations.

“They should uphold respect, last time, I respectfully showed up after they summoned me and they harassed me,” Sonko noted.

He added that the officers not only forced him to remove his shoes during frisking but also unzipped his trousers and placed machines on his private parts.

“Walinifungua zip, wanaeka mashini kwa sehemu nyeti (they unzipped my trousers and used machines on my private parts) to check if I was hiding a camera,” an angry Sonko lamented.

“They removed my socks and shoes like I was a prisoner. When they brought that screening machine close to my face pushed it away,” he continued.

He urged President Kenyatta to disband the anti-graft agency on the grounds that it was corrupt. He alleged that the commission was attempting to intimidate him over his sustained fight against land grabbing in Nairobi.

“The second time, it was the same thing with threats and a lot of intimidation. By the third time, ata wao walijua enough is enough. Nliwaambia hakuna mtu ataguza sehemu zangu sa siri. Walikuwa wanavaa gloves wanaingiza vidole wakiangalia kama uko na cameras. Hizo mavidole nilizigonga mateke nikawaambia sitakubali hii ushenzi tena,” Sonko said during an interview with a local FM station

(I told them no one would touch my private parts. They would wear gloves and insert their fingers into your private parts looking for recording devices. I hit the inspectors’ hands and told them I would no longer tolerate their nonsense).
