Sonko case against EACC sent to Anti-Corruption division

[ad_1] Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko A case filed by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko challenging corruption investigations against him has now been referred to the Anti-Corruption Division of the High Court. Justice James Makau of the Constitutional Division of the High Court directed that the file be placed before the presiding judge of the High Court’s Anti-Corruption Division this morning for further directions. The judge also declined to stop the investigations as sought by Sonko on grounds that the matter was not in the right jurisdiction. “I therefore decline to grant any directions on this matter as it is not in the right forum.
