While unveiling the cabinet, Sakaja sent home all members of the executive serving his predecessor, Anne Kananu's administration, except two. One appointment that caught the eye of many Kenyans is that of city politician Michael Gumo, a son of former Cabinet Minister Fred Gumo, who was selected to lead the Innovation and Digital Economy docket.
