OPINION: Postpone Mau Forest Evictions Until After Exams

Yes, Hon. Khalwale is right. The little ones should prepare and do their KCPE and KCSE exams in peace. Then come 2020, their parents should be resettled in another area and given the right infrastructure for the continuation of their kids education. Mau is not on fire to make us do the evictions as if were evacuating

Yes, Hon. Khalwale is right. The little ones should prepare and do their KCPE and KCSE exams in peace. Then come 2020, their parents should be resettled in another area and given the right infrastructure for the continuation of their kids education. Mau is not on fire to make us do the evictions as if were evacuating them from a disaster. One years stay will not do more damage than what has been done already. I support the national effort to conserve our environment. If we destroy it we go with it. In fact if we opened these water catchment areas for settlement all the millions of landless Kenyans would land there to get a piece of the virgin land. Where would that lead us? Desertification.
