Politicians and friends joined the family of Mama Ida Odinga as the wife of the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga celebrated her 70th birthday on Saturday.
Mama Ida who was born on August 24, 1950 was described as wise, graceful and selfless by those who attended the her party. It had a serious guest list of big boys and girls in kenyan politics and several were not wearing face masks despite government directives to keep social distance and wear them to stem the spread of Covid-19. The bash held at the home of Odinga in Karen had Jubilee Party vice chairman David Murathe in attendance, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru , former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth who is a new buddy and the vocal Homa Bay Woman Rep Gladys Wanga. EALA member Oburu Oginga who is Odinga's elder was also present, Wajir MP Fatuma Gedi and NGEC commissioner Priscilla Nyokabi while some leaders sent their messages via Twitter.
