Nyali Member of National Assembly Mohamed Ali has tabled a motion to impeach Transport Cabinet Secretary James Macharia.
The MP wrote:
'Today I can confirm that I have tabled my petition to impeach CS James Macharia with 90 supporting signatures which is more than the threshold. My petition against him is for: 1. Gross violation of Article 10(1)(c) and 2(a) of the Constitution; Gross misconduct contrary to the provisions of Article 125 of the Constitution; Gross violation of Article 73 of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity by: a) Overseeing stalled projects worth 100 billion b) Overseeing loss of 1.5 billion Housing Project scandal c) Overseeing of 5.2 billion Afya House Scandal" 'It's been a long time coming' Most Kenyans agree that the motion against the CS is long overdue.
CS Macharia has overseen plunder, loot abs mismanagement on all the ministries he's managed, from Health and now to Transport.
There's no tangible development or change of policy that he has effected, in fact, the best legacy he leaves behind is unfortunately Afya House Scandal, capture of Health agencies and sham contracts in the transport ministry.
Kenyans now await direction from the Speaker of the National Assembly on the motion.
Justin Muturi better serve Kenyans.
