Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has released the first batch of the county’s Sh157 million bursary fund. Passed by the Kiambu Assembly, the fund comes at a time when school fees have skyrocketed despite intervention by the national government. Kabogo said the fund will benefit needy and bright students from across the county. When issuing the bursary cheques in Kiambu sub-county, Governor Kabogo noted that his government would lobby the County Assembly to increase the fund to Sh300 million to benefit more people.
