Lawyer Donald Kipkorir has called on security officials to arrest Patrick Safari, formerly Modern Corps.

Patrick Safari used to Tweet under the name tag " Modern Corps '' but later changed the Twitter account's name to Patrick Safari after receiving many threats over his security updates, he once confided to us.

In a Twitter spat, Lawyer Donald Kipkorir Tweeted the national police service demanding to know if Safari is a real policeman. Kipkorir was reacting to Safari's tweet  that had fetched many Retweets and likes.

"Dear IG... Kindly confirm if this Twitter Account is of a real Policeman .. The two pictures are in the same account of a Patrick Safari but can’t be of the same person & I thought Police Officers are politically neutral on Politics, local & abroad.. @DCI_Kenya @NPSOfficial_KE " Dear IG .... Kindly confirm if this Twitter Account is of a real Policeman .. The two pictures are in the same account of a Patrick Safari but can’t be of same person & I thought Police Officers are politically neutral on Politics, local & abroad.. @DCI_Kenya @NPSOfficial_KE pic.twitter.com/HMhP24ixKU — Donald B Kipkorir (@DonaldBKipkorir) October 3, 2018 In a Tweet, the official national police account confirmed that Safari is not a member of the force

" Good evening Donald. The person appearing in the two photos is not our officer (@APSKenya, @DCI_Kenya, @PoliceKE) Thank you. Cc. @JBoinnet" Good evening Donald. The person appearing in the two photos is not our officer ( @APSKenya , @DCI_Kenya , @PoliceKE ) Thank you. Cc. @JBoinnet — National Police Service-Kenya (@NPSOfficial_KE) October 3, 2018 Lawyer Donald Kipkorir has demanded the arrest of Safari for calling himself “ Security Officer” and having Police insignia in his shirt"

On his political ideologies and tweets, Kenyans were divided as per the mentions under the tweet.

Some say police officers should be able to give their political views freely because we are a free society while others say police should stay away from politics because they serve all Kenyans. There is nothing political in those tweets Wakili. Anyway next time tag KDF, Prison, KWS, KKsecurity, G4s and others for confirmation. They all deal with security . — Patrick Safari (@patricksafariR) October 3, 2018 Thats how kenyan elites view things.Wakili thinks anyone working in police force need to be neutral politically, that means they are not supposed to speak out.Sad! — Kamba Pundit (@kamwash254) October 3, 2018 I don't find anything wrong here Don. That we have a security officer as a bold advocate of human rights is indeed great. Ile HSC ilipewa Githeri Man irudishwe kwa huyu jamaa — Leboo Kiptoo (@kiptoo_leboo) October 3, 2018 But Don @NPSOfficial_KE has never been politically neutral. They are used as tissue paper by @StateHouseKenya . Let @patricksafariR be — Muhammad Otweyo (@M_otweyo) October 3, 2018 Some agreed with Lawyer Kipkorir He should obey the rules of his employment — Wilson Gitau (@WilsonWaGitau) October 3, 2018 @DonaldBKipkorir , if he truly is an officer, he has breached the code. And it amounts to misconduct for which an officer may be subjected to disciplinary proceedings and penalised as set out under the police act.... If not an officer, the penal code is clear! So relax bro — Otevoh Nj'ery (@Obino_Otevoh) October 3, 2018
