Former longserving director John Terer, failed to dethrone board of director’s chairman, Raymond Milgo. Milgo scooped a total of 15,075 while Terer got 8,919 votes.

In Mogogosiek Tea Factory, long serving Embomos zone director John Kering, was defeated by the youthful director Simon Cheruiyot. Cheruiyot got 20,055 votes while Kering returned 15,231 votes.

Kering thanked Embomos zone farmers for having elected him to represent them for a record of 20 years. Kering is credited for having represented the factory as the cess director.

During the campaign for the zone, Kering is said to have had several opponent who opted to back his opponents for their selfish gain.

Among them, a section of political leaders and part of church members who had put their mechanisms together finally won their seats.

In the same factory, former Bomet county executive committee member of agriculture Julius Tuwei retained his seat after defeating his opponent Charles Langat and Rose Koros.

Tuwei after his reelection, vowed to champion for the interest of the farmer, saying they expect good harvest in next financial year. [ad_2] Source link
