Police Constable in charge of traffic in Kisumu Mr. Alfred Ndalana before the vetting panel

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detective failed to show up in court yesterday as agreed for the stalled case of allegedly slain Kisumu Traffic Police Constable Alfred Ndalana her daughter has revealed.

"(attention) DCI When I visited you gave us a court date on 19th February 2020. We did avail ourselves to court yet your own CID who was summoned for appearance didn't show up? What games are you playing? Be aware I won't give up! Worst of it all we travel to Kisumu from Nairobi @DCI_Kenya @IPOA_KE Is it right for the CID who was summoned not to appear in court? For how long will my family suffer? Are we still protected or the Lord will protect us? #justiceforndalana", she wrote.

A month ago, the daughter Mutheu Ndalana shocked twitter when she revealed that the family doesn't believe that their dad a traffic police based in Kisumu died by suicide. She wrote a thread on Twitter On how her father died. Her accounts contradict police reports that the traffic officer had committed suicide for fear of the then ongoing traffic police vetting in 2016.

One thing that netizens agree is amiss in the story as reported in the local media is that the man shot himself in the head five times. It doesn’t take rocket science or forensic investigator to tell you that one cannot shoot themselves in the head five times in a suicide.

This is how we reported the first instance, when the daughter, Mutheu Ndalana exposed that she believed her dad Alfred, was killed, and that the police had covered it up. The DCI summoned her to their headquarters for statement recording but on the date of appearance in court, the DCI detective was no show.
