Capital FM Managing Director Feisal Baghazal Capital FM staffers are lamenting 40% salary cuts as crisis hits media houses that are struggling to make ends meet with a drop in ad revenue.
"The position is opposed by other company directors but MD insists this is the only way to save the organization" A staffer who spoke to CNYAKUNDI.COM noted.
The Capital FM's Managing Director Mr Feisal Baghazal who spoke on Friday 11th November morning noted that the salary cuts would affect everyone from the Managing Director to the bottom man. He also noted that the cuts will commence in December.
Since the covid-19 pandemic, Journalists and staff working for five leading media groups in Kenya have had their pay slashed by up to 50% as the situation worsens and shows no signs of ending soon.
