On Thursday afternoon, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta defended his decision to appoint former Vice President Moody Awori in the arts and culture board saying that young people selected in the same boards end up looting public funds. "I have been criticized about appointing a 91-year-old for arts and culture, if you were in my shoes what would you do when you see money being stolen left right and center?" These remarks greatly irked Kenyans who felt insulted and they told off the President in the comments.
