Blessing Lung’aho Early Life and Education
Blessing Lung’aho was born in 1988 in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya. He hails from the Abaluhya community, one of Kenya’s largest Bantu-speaking groups. While his exact birth date remains unknown, he was about 37 years old in 2025.
Blessing grew up in a close-knit family of four. His mother is a literature professor at a local university, and his late father worked as an accountant. Their professions had a strong influence on his early life.
He began his education at a local primary school before joining the prestigious Kakamega High School. After high school, he enrolled at the Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA), where he studied commerce and majored in accounting.
Although he followed his father’s path into accounting, Blessing’s true passion was in storytelling and acting. Deep down, he always dreamed of being on screen.

Career
Even though Blessing Lung’aho studied accounting, there’s no record of him ever working as an accountant.

His journey into the spotlight began in the most unexpected way. While walking down the street one day, a stranger named Guta approached him.
Guta asked if he’d be interested in auditioning for a commercial. Blessing was skeptical—after all, the streets are full of scammers. He took Guta’s card but didn’t think much of it.
Later, he mentioned the encounter to a friend who surprisingly knew Guta and encouraged Blessing to follow up.
He made the call, went for the audition, and landed his first commercial role. That one decision changed his life.
Fate stepped in again on what would become one of the most emotional days of his life. Blessing had five major auditions lined up—three for commercials and two for TV shows.
He called his father to share the exciting news, but his dad was driving and promised to call back. Two days passed with no word.
On the third day, Blessing received both good and heartbreaking news: he had passed all five auditions, but his father had passed away.
Blessing pushed forward. He soon appeared in major commercials, both in Kenya and internationally. His portfolio includes:

Blessing Lung’aho is one of the few Kenyan celebrities who has managed to keep his love life private. For a long time, he kept details about his past relationships away from the spotlight.
But that changed when he began dating his Zora co-star, Jackie Matubia. Their chemistry on-screen quickly spilled into real life, and fans took notice. Jackie later confirmed their relationship on Instagram, sparking excitement among their followers.
