On April 24, 2020, a heated debate erupted in the Kenyan music scene when rapper King Kaka called out his fellow artiste Khaligraph Jones over his lyrics in the song 'Mtoto wa Diana'.
King Kaka expressed his discontent on Twitter, stating that people are crossing the line when they touch on families. He specifically mentioned Bahati and his wife, urging them to stop the cyberbullying.
His comments came after Khaligraph Jones released his latest song 'Hao', which features Masauti. In the song, Khaligraph addresses how artistes are trolled by people who pretend to love them. He also sings about how KOT (Kenyan online community) have turned on Bahati, addressing him as his wife's firstborn.
King Kaka took issue with Khaligraph's lyrics, saying that they lack empathy and are only meant to cause harm. He emphasized that being a celebrity comes with its own set of challenges, but that does not justify the kind of treatment Bahati is receiving.
