Kenya Records 847 New COVID-19 Cases, Positivity Rate at 13.9%

On July 24, 2021, Kenya's Ministry of Health reported 847 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total confirmed positive cases to 196,745.

The cases were identified from a sample size of 6,080 tested in the last 24 hours, resulting in a positivity rate of 13.9%.

According to the Ministry of Health, 722 patients have recovered from the disease, with 567 recoveries coming from Home-Based and Isolation Care programs.

Sadly, the Ministry reported 11 fatalities, bringing the cumulative number of fatalities to 3,849.

As of the latest update, 1,277 patients with COVID-19 have been admitted to various facilities, while 3,705 other patients are receiving treatment at Home-Based and Isolation Care Program.

The cases are distributed across various counties, with Nairobi reporting the highest number of cases at 397, followed by Busia with 66 cases.
