Published on December 26, 2019, Rosemary Odinga's remarkable story of recovery has brought joy to her family and friends.

After losing her sight to an illness almost two years ago, Rosemary has now fully regained her eyesight, a miracle that has left everyone in awe.

Speaking about her experience, Rosemary recalled the difficult moments she faced, relying on sounds and movements to navigate her surroundings.

“I felt alone and had to quickly learn to use sounds and movements of people to tell who was around me. Those were the most trying moments of my life,” she said.

As a mother, Rosemary found it especially painful not being able to see her children, a feeling that was exacerbated by people assuming she could see because her eyes were open.

“People would see me and think I was able to see because my eyes were open. I am grateful for your prayers and support during that difficult period,” Rosemary said.

Raila Odinga, Rosemary's father, has spoken about the family's efforts to help their daughter, including visiting hospitals in Germany, China, and South Africa before finding a doctor in India who used herbal medicine to help her recover.

“We got to a point where we nearly gave up as a family after unsuccessfully visiting many hospitals. However, a friend introduced us to a doctor in India who used herbal medicine to help her recover,” he said.

For the Odinga family, no Christmas gift could have been better than their daughter regaining her sight, a miracle that they are grateful for.
