Kenyatta University Wins Seventh KUSA Games Title

On December 22, 2019, Kenyatta University (KU) emerged victorious in the Kenya Universities Sports Association (KUSA) games, securing the seventh title at the University of Eldoret.

The university bagged an impressive 99 medals, comprising 39 gold, 29 silver, and 31 bronze medals, surpassing the 18 participating universities.

United States International University (USIU) took second place with 23 gold, 20 silver, and 14 bronze medals, while Mount Kenya University (MKU) secured third place with 18 gold, 22 silver, and 22 bronze medals.

Notably, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) won the women's football title by defeating KU 3-0 in the final, with Christabel Keya scoring the first goal in the 34th minute and Mirriam Chelagat scoring the second goal in the 42nd minute.

Strathmore University, on the other hand, won the men's football title by defeating KU 6-5 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in regular time.

Strathmore University also retained the men's volleyball title by defeating KU 3-1 in straight sets, while KU retained the women's volleyball title by defeating Strathmore 3-2 in sets.
