December 19, 2019 - Samuel Kimeu, a distinguished leader with a background in citizen engagement, anti-corruption, and governance reform in Africa, has announced his resignation as Executive Director of Transparency International-Kenya, effective January 2020.
Mr. Kimeu will join Africa's Voices Foundation, where he will drive growth and expansion during a moment of great potential to achieve the organisation's mission: to transform the way citizen voices are listened to and acted upon in decisions that affect their lives.
He will be taking over from Dr. Sharath Srinivasan, a renowned governance and human rights academic, who will be headed to Cambridge University. Dr. Srinivasan and colleagues at Cambridge have created a technical advisory group to ensure Africa's Voices continues to benefit from high-level input from experts in technical innovation.
Ms. Sheila Masinde, who is to take over as acting Executive Director in January 2020, will continue to work with Mr. Kimeu in early 2020 to orient him to Africa's Voices's projects and partnerships.
