On a challenging day in Kisumu, Emmanuel Bor from Nandi County and Everline Chirchir from Nakuru proved their mettle, claiming the top spots in the 2019 Safaricom Series Kisumu City 10km Road race on December 15, 2019.

Bor, who had recently won the Safaricom South Imenti 15km Road race, demonstrated his resilience and hard work by clocking 28 minutes and 32 seconds to secure the win. His Nandi counterparts, Josephat Chepchirchir and Bethwel Kipkemboi, followed closely in second and third positions, respectively.

Chirchir, a 21-year-old from Nakuru, made her maiden win in the women's category, clocking 32:30.10. Irine Kimathisi from Baringo and Judith Jepngetich finished second and third in the women's category.

The winners of the race received a cash prize of Sh100, 000, while the first and second runners-up in both categories pocketed Sh50, 000 and Sh25,000, respectively.
