Joseph 'Jowie' Irungu, a suspect in the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani, has taken the State to court over alleged mistreatment while in custody.
According to reports, Irungu was subjected to inhumane conditions, including being held in solitary confinement and denied access to basic necessities.
Irungu's lawsuit, filed on December 13, 2019, seeks compensation for the alleged mistreatment and calls for an end to such practices in the future.
