On December 12, 2019, Jaffery's Sports Club marked a significant milestone in its expansion with the launch of a new football pitch in Lavington, Nairobi.
The Astro Turf pitch, officially launched by club chairman Naushad Merali, is set to cater to the needs of both professional and amateur teams, as well as youth teams, for training and matches.
According to Mukhtar Assaria, the club secretary, the new pitch addresses the shortage of football facilities in the country, allowing athletes to engage in competitive and recreational activities.
The pitch is available for hire at a rate of between Sh2000 to Sh6000 per hour, making it an attractive option for teams and individuals seeking a high-quality playing surface.
Located on a 15-acre piece of land owned by the Jaffary community, the sports club also features a cricket pitch, volleyball court, and indoor arena, making it a hub for various sports activities in the region.
