On December 11, 2019, the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ Kenya) honored Supreme Court judge Isaac Lenaola as the Jurist of the Year.

At 52 years old, Justice Lenaola has earned a reputation for being calm, fair, and wise in his judicial decisions.

During the award ceremony, Justice Lenaola emphasized the importance of individual responsibility in the fight against corruption, stating, "It's time we took the fight against graft seriously and we must give Judiciary tools to fight it as a country."
