Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been granted Sh15 million cash bail or Sh30 million bond in a high-profile money laundering case.

On Monday, Sonko denied all charges of money laundering and unlawful acquisition of public property at City Hall, amounting to Sh357 million.

He is also accused of irregularly awarding tenders to his close aides, forging documents, and misappropriating county funds.

On January 15, the case will be mentioned in court.

Salma Mbuvi, Sonko's daughter, showed up in solidarity to her father at the court hearing.

Earlier, Sonko's eldest daughter Saumu posted a photo of herself and her father taking a selfie, but did not caption it.

She also posted a prayer emoji on her Instagram photos.
