Published on December 10, 2019, a photo of Zari and her manager sparked questions about her relationship with a Ugandan radio personality.
However, Zari's history with the man in question, Rasta Rob, dates back to her teenage years in Uganda.
According to Rasta Rob, he first met Zari at the Sailing Club in Jinja, Uganda, when she was around 18 years old.
He claimed to have brought Zari to Kampala in the late 1990s, around 1996 or 1997.
Despite their past relationship, Rasta Rob has since moved on and recently exchanged his wedding vows with his new wife.
