Kenya's Harambee Stars coach Francis Kimanzi expressed satisfaction with the current squad as they prepare for the upcoming CECAFA Senior Championships in Uganda. The tournament is set to kick off this weekend.
On day two of residential training at Kasarani, the team intensified their training in preparation for the challenge. Kenya has been pooled in Group C alongside Tanzania, Djibouti, and Zanzibar.
Group A consists of hosts Uganda, Burundi, Ethiopia, and Eritrea, while Group B will feature guest team DR Congo against Sudan, South Sudan, and Somalia. Kenya's fixtures will see them face Djibouti on Sunday, followed by a match against Tanzania next Tuesday, and finally Zanzibar on Thursday.
The top two teams in each group, as well as the two best losers from the three groups, will proceed to the tournament's quarterfinals.
