Radio presenter Alex Mwakideu has made a surprising revelation about his drinking habits. In a recent post, he revealed that he has given up alcohol.
The news comes after a fan pointed out a tumbler with what appeared to be alcohol in it, prompting Mwakideu to respond with a humorous message.
‘Hio tumbler iko na manenoz. [That tumbler has alcohol],’ a fan commented on Mwakideu’s photo.
Mwakideu responded saying, ‘Imagine nilwacha pombe kabisa…. I did it for mom.’
The post is a reference to the passing of Mwakideu’s mother in May this year. He penned a touching message to her, saying, ‘For the first time… I am lost. Totally lost. Totally. I don’t know what to type, what to do, where to start… I am lost. I will miss you mom. I will miss you so much. And I will love you forever. Thank you for being the BEST mom EVER. Rest with the Angels.. #RIPMom,’”
It appears Mwakideu has joined a growing list of celebrities who have embarked on a sobriety journey, including Tom Mboya, actor Muliro, and Othuol Othuol.
