On November 24, a group of media personalities attended a Sunday service at the Neno Evangelism Ministry in Nairobi, where they witnessed Pastor James Ng'ang'a's alleged extortion methods firsthand.
According to the source, Pastor Ng'ang'a demands that his followers offer a minimum of Ksh1,000 to God, with the pastor himself deciding how much each congregant should give.
During the offertory session, which lasts for about an hour, female ushers in matching outfits collect the offerings in big bags. The ushers allegedly linger until someone offers something, and the most shocking detail is that coins are not allowed.
If a follower offers as little as Ksh50, the ushers confront them, claiming they are stealing from God. The service continues at 5:30 PM, where people allegedly possessed by demons are delivered at a cost of Ksh3,500. If someone cannot afford the full amount, they are forced to wait until the next service, paying what they have at the moment.
These shocking allegations have sparked outrage, with many condemning Pastor Ng'ang'a's actions as unacceptable.
