The East Africa's leading telecommunication company, Safaricom, experienced intermittent network challenges affecting its customers, including voice and data services.
Many customers took to Twitter to express their frustration, unable to access popular services such as m-pesa, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram.
According to the Communications Authority of Kenya, Safaricom accounts for 56.8% of all calls made within the country.
Despite the outage, Safaricom acknowledged the problem without indicating its root cause, sparking concerns among subscribers.
