On October 25, 2019, a tragic event unfolded at the Laikipia military camp in Kenya. Meja Peter Mwaura Mugure, a military officer stationed at the camp, is accused of murdering his lover, Joyce Syombua, and her two children.
According to reports, Syombua and her children, Shanice Maua and Prince Michael, arrived at the camp on October 25, 2019, and were welcomed into a residence at A3, which was allegedly the official residence of Meja Mugure.
It is reported that Meja Mugure, along with his family, spent the night together in the residence. The next morning, Meja Mugure left the camp without his family, and they were never seen again.
Investigations revealed that Meja Mugure had made several trips outside the camp on October 26, 2019, using his vehicle. The motive behind the murder remains unclear, but sources suggest that Meja Mugure may have had a personal vendetta against his lover and her children.
On November 21, 2019, the court granted Meja Mugure and another suspect 21 days of detention to allow for further investigations.
As the investigation continues, many questions remain unanswered. The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the community, and many are left wondering what could have driven Meja Mugure to commit such a heinous crime.
