Published on November 22, 2019, Kiambu Deputy Governor James Nyoro has stated that he cannot work with Governor Ferdinand Waititu.

According to Nyoro, if the court allows Waititu to return to office, he will have no choice but to resign.

Waititu was barred from entering his office after being found guilty of misappropriating county funds and distributing unverified tenders.

Nyoro has been running the affairs of Kiambu County since July and has been trying to ensure that taxpayers are satisfied with how county funds are being used.

"If the court allows Waititu to return to office, I will have no choice but to resign because I cannot work with him," Nyoro stated.
