On November 10, a violent dispute over a parcel of land in Utawala, Emkakasi Sub County, Nairobi, left three brothers injured. The incident occurred when Dominic 'Major' Onderi Omambia, a 36-year-old man, allegedly assaulted his younger siblings Dennis Ontweka, Job Mbaka, and Thomas Okari.

According to reports, Omambia had sold the jointly owned land to a private developer, but one of his brothers had disposed of the same land to another developer. This led to a dispute, which escalated when Omambia hired men to escort his client to remove the perimeter wall put up by his brother's client.

The dispute turned violent when Omambia's brothers were stoned after visiting the land. They later went looking for Omambia at his house but did not find him. He later arrived with other men, who allegedly jointly assaulted his brothers.

Omambia denied the charges before Makadara chief magistrate Heston Nyaga and was freed on a cash bail of Sh20, 000. The case will be heard from March 24 next year.
