November 22, 2019, marked a significant day in the Monica Kimani murder case as Jowie, the key suspect, made a fresh plea to the high court judge to release him on bail. He claimed to be suffering in Kamiti Maximum Prison.
Slain Monica Kimani's brother, George, a key witness, revealed that Jowie runs a security firm, which he believes can assist in unraveling the killers behind Monica's murder.
Present in court to console Jowie was Jacque Maribe's father, while Jacque herself didn't show up, a sign that she had moved on with her life.
Joseph Irungu alias Jowie appeared distressed while pleading with the judge.
He argued that the prosecution has already collected enough evidence and left none for him to interfere with, and that the investigations wouldn't bear fruits if the court allowed media coverage.
