Top Lady Golfers Head to Vipingo for LET Championship

Kenya is set to host the Ladies European Tour (LET) from December 5 to 8 at the Baobab Course at Vipingo Ridge, with top 108 professional golfers from around the world participating in the championship.

The LET, one of the world's leading golf tours for women, will see the golfers compete for a total prize kitty of over Sh33 million, with the winner taking home about Sh5 million.

Among the top players participating in the championship are Marianne Skarpnord of Norway, who is currently ranked first on the LET Order of Merit, and Esther Henseleit of Germany, who is second on the Order of Merit.

Other top players making the trip to Vipingo include Christine Wolf of Austria, Meghan Maclaren of England, Olivia Cowan and Laura Fuenfstueck from Germany, and Carly Booth from Scotland.

Kenyan players to the Magical Kenya Ladies Open are yet to be announced.

Entry tickets for the championship are already on sale for Sh1,000 as a daily entry fee, with action at Vipingo Ridge kicking off with the Pro-Am on Wednesday December 4.

The Baobab Course at Vipingo Ridge was designed by renowned golf course architect David Jones and is Africa's first and only PGA-accredited course.
