Wazito coach Medo Melis has been fired, just a month into the job, following a public outburst at his players on live TV.
According to sources, the decision was made after the team's surprising 2-0 loss to basement side Kisumu All Stars, with club owner Ricardo Badoer suggesting that even a 'blind donkey' could see that the team is in crisis.
Medo's sacking comes after he publicly blasted his own players on Madgoat TV, stating, 'All of them (defenders) all of them must go, including the keepers. You cannot be a goalkeeper without talking, you cannot be a bus driver without the steering wheel, all of them will have to go.'
Medo confirmed the news to Nairobi News on Thursday, stating, 'It is true (I have been sacked) and I'm happy with the decision. I think at the moment that is the best thing for both parties.'
Wazito will face Kariobangi Sharks in their next league match.
