On November 21, 2019, a tragic incident shook the nation when the bodies of Major Peter Mugure's wife and children were found murdered.

As the investigation into the murders continues, Peter's sister has come out to defend her brother against the allegations.

She describes Peter as a man with a 'clean heart,' who rarely argued with his wife.

‘He does not talk a lot but he has such a clean heart.

She also revealed that Peter and his wife Syombua were very much in love and rarely had misunderstandings.

‘They loved each other so much and they rarely argued nor had misunderstandings.

However, the sister revealed that they only came to know later that Syombua had sued Peter over child support.

‘We only came to learn later that she (Syombua) had taken our brother to court over child support.

She added that Peter had agreed to support the children, and she hopes he is proven innocent.

‘I hope he is proven innocent. Because in my heart I believe in him.’

Her sentiments echo those of her mother, who described Peter as a man who had no friends and only played with books.

‘HE HAD NO FRIENDS, HE ONLY PLAYED WITH BOOKS.’

She also expressed shock that Peter had children with Syombua, whom she had never met.

‘I AM FEELING VERY OPPRESSED WHEN I HEAR THAT MY SON HAD KIDS WITH SYOMBUA, I HAD NEVER MET SHANICE OR PRINCE MICHAEL.

As the investigation continues, the family's sentiments offer a glimpse into the complex relationship between Peter and his late wife.
