JKUAT student Oliver Wabwile, popularly known as Tycoon 001, was attacked and injured near Seagull Hotel on Philo One Street in Juja, Kenya.
According to eyewitnesses, Wabwile was with his girlfriend and a male friend when they were ambushed by two assailants wielding knives and pangas.
The attackers cut Wabwile's lips before making off with his phone, leaving him profusely bleeding.
Wabwile was rushed to the JKUAT hospital for medical attention.
This incident comes just three weeks after a series of insecurity incidents forced students to go on a rampage, leading to the closure of the institution.
Police have been accused of mounting PR patrol exercises only for the cameras, and students blame them for only coming out to quell demonstrations once students can no longer hold their peace.
