On November 16, 2019, the body of 25-year-old Faith Wangui was found dumped in a bush near Menengai Crater in Kiamaina Ward, Bahati, Nakuru County.
Postmortem examination revealed that Faith was raped and then strangled to death.
The police immediately launched an investigation into Faith's murder, treating her husband, Joseph Muchiri, as the prime suspect.
On November 19, 2019, Nakuru County Police Commander Stephen Matu confirmed that Joseph Muchiri had been found dead in Njoro, Nakuru County.
According to Commander Matu, Muchiri is suspected to have committed suicide by hanging himself after the mysterious death of his wife.
