Abby Ruto, the daughter of Deputy President William Ruto, has made her father proud by scoring 406 marks out of 500 in her KCPE exams. Her mother, Prisca Bett, took to Facebook to express her gratitude to God for her daughter's excellent performance.
"God you are Ebenezer, you Grace is sufficient! 406 it is…Glory to God," Prisca Bett happily posted on Facebook.
It's worth noting that this achievement comes after a tumultuous period in the family's history. In 2017, Deputy President Ruto was sued by a woman, Prisca Chebet, who claimed he had neglected their daughter and was not providing adequate support.
However, in a series of tweets, Deputy President Ruto revealed that he had been paying Sh40,000 monthly for the girl's upkeep and had even secured her mother a job that pays Sh90,000 a month. He also stated that he would not be blackmailed into caring for other men's children.
"The other father/s should be men enough and look after their kids. Trying blackmail for me to cater for other men's children won't work," he tweeted.
