On Sunday, November 17, 2019, Harambee Starlets kicked off their 2019 CECAFA Women Championship campaign with a resounding 2-0 win over Ethiopia at the Chamazi Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Despite a goalless first half, Starlets broke the deadlock in the 79th minute through Jentrix Shikangwa's goal, followed by Cynthia Shilwatso's winner three minutes later.
With this victory, Harambee Starlets have set the tone for their championship campaign.
