On July 16, 2021, a devastating incident occurred at Kibunja, Molo, Nakuru County, where a 21-year-old woman ended her life in a tragic act of desperation.

According to the area chief Hassan Waweru, the woman took poison and later hanged herself, citing marriage problems as the reason behind her actions.

In a handwritten letter, the victim accused her husband of unfaithfulness, stating that he had promised to love and never betray her but failed to keep his word.

She wrote, “Trust me, if I was bad you will find someone worse than me who cannot be patient with you the way I did,” and added, “And the way you promised you’ll never leave me or cheat on me. I trust you John but I will die because of you.”

Her final words were a poignant expression of her pain and despair: “Enjoy your life full of joy. Bye bye bye.”
