On June 30, 2019, a Kenya Airways flight from Nairobi to London made a mysterious stop in London, leaving behind a frozen body that was later discovered in a garden in an affluent Southern London suburb.

Paul Manyasi, a 28-year-old Kenyan man, was identified as the deceased by his colleagues and girlfriend, Irene, who claimed they were planning to get married.

Irene told Sky News that Manyasi had proposed to her and they were planning to start a family. She described him as a kind and loving person.

According to Irene, Manyasi had been assigned to clean the area outside but he was nowhere to be seen at the end of the shift. His phone was off, and when they came in the morning the following day, the supervisor called them and told them that Manyasi was missing.

The parents of Paul Manyasi, Isaac and his wife, were contacted by Sky News and expressed their shock and grief. They said that neither the police nor the airport authorities had contacted them about their son.

Isaac Manyasi said, 'No one has got in touch.' His wife added, 'I don't know where to start or end because his phone is not working.' She expressed her desire to have her son's body brought home and buried in their family land, but the father was hesitant, saying 'Let him stay [in the UK]. Those are too many expenses. Soil is just soil.'

The Kenya Airports Authority later released a statement denying that Paul Manyasi was the stated stowaway.
