Published on November 10, 2019, a tweet from a close friend sparked a thought-provoking conversation about the state of modern dating.

She confessed to having spent every possible cartridge in a relationship within a year, leaving her partner to 'hop on to a different game.' Her carefree attitude, accompanied by a laughing emoji, seemed to be a common theme in today's dating culture.

However, this casual approach to relationships raises concerns about the value placed on commitment and love. Proponents of this 'poisonous gospel' often mock dating couples and glorify adventure over commitment.

But what's the point of investing time and emotions in a relationship only to quit before it has a chance to flourish? A relationship that ends after a few rounds of sex, hangouts, and drinks is not a healthy or fulfilling one.

Love should be about more than just a momentary thrill. It's about building a life together, sharing experiences, and growing as individuals. The casualness of today's dating life would indeed jolt the gods.

Furthermore, the rise of social media has created a culture of public displays of love and heartbreak. People feel compelled to share their relationships and breakups online, often seeking validation and approval from their followers.

But this approach can be damaging, as it creates a sense of entitlement and expectation. When the relationship ends, the same crowd that encouraged the couple to be together will suddenly turn against them, asking them to drop their partner ASAP.

It's time to reevaluate our approach to love and relationships. Let's focus on building genuine connections, rather than seeking validation from others. Let's love genuinely again, shall we?
