On May 21, 2021, a 30-year-old man, Ken Onyango Ocholla, was brutally beaten to death in a fight over a woman in Seme, Kisumu County.

According to Chief Caleb Apondi of South Central Seme location, the fight occurred during a night vigil, and the victim's body was dumped in a nearby shamba.

Police have arrested two brothers, Joshua Odhiambo and Daudi Okoth, who are suspected to be behind the killing. The suspects are being held at Kombewa police station as investigations continue.

Chief Apondi revealed that the suspects' clothes had blood stains, indicating a struggle, and that they had information that the fight was over a woman named Lucy Atieno.

“Today at around 8 am, I got a call from an area elder that there is a dead body dumped in a shamba. It is like the there was a fight between the killer and deceased,” says Apondi.
