On November 9, 2019, a dramatic shop robbery unfolded in Nairobi's Kasarani area, leaving a man critically injured.

Richard Muema, the victim, was shot eight times by one of the armed robbers at a retail shop in the area.

According to CCTV footage obtained by Citizen TV, the two armed men entered the shop at around 10:30 pm, with one of them brandishing a gun.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Muema got up and launched an offensive on the gunman, prompting the latter to open fire.

The gunman continuously shot at Muema as he followed him out of the shop.

Muema has since undergone surgery to remove the bullets from his body, and his family is appealing for financial support to cater for the medical bill.

Police have launched a manhunt for the two armed robbers and are urging members of the public to help identify the suspects.
