Naivas, a leading retail chain in Kenya, is expanding its operations with the opening of two new branches in Ruiru and Nairobi's Hurlingham area before Christmas Day.
According to the company, the new outlets will be located at a three-floor commercial complex along the Eastern Bypass in Ruiru and near Yaya Centre in Hurlingham, bringing competition to Chandarana Foodplus, which has two outlets in the area.
Naivas Chief Commercial Officer Willy Kimani announced the expansion in Nairobi, where he also launched a Sh30 million two-month promotion campaign dubbed, 'Usiwe na was, krisi ni Naivas.'
Under the campaign, 250 customers shopping at any of the company's 56 stores will randomly be rewarded with Sh2,000 vouchers daily during the campaign, which starts on November 8, 2019, and ends on December 31.
Naivas aims to create 400 new jobs with the opening of the two new branches, taking its network across Kenya to 58 stores.
