The Africa Cup of Nations U-23 tournament is set to kick off in Egypt on Friday, November 8, 2019. The tournament will also serve as the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games qualifiers, with the top three teams earning a direct ticket.
The eight teams competing in the tournament are Egypt, Cote d'Ivoire, Cameroon, South Africa, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, and Zambia. The Egyptian capital Cairo will host the teams.
Hosts Egypt U-23 team has been drawn alongside Mali, Cameroon, and Ghana in Group A. The defending champions Nigeria have been pooled alongside Cote d'Ivoire, South Africa, and Zambia.

- AFCON Day 1 (Opening Matches): Friday, November 8, 2019
- Egypt vs Mali: 20:00 PM (Cairo International Stadium)
- Cameroun vs Ghana: 23:00 (Cairo International Stadium)
