Churchill Show Comedian Njenga Mswahili Dies in Tragic Accident

On November 7, 2019, the comedy world in Kenya was left in shock after the sudden passing of James Anthony Njenga, a comedian known by his stage name Njenga Mswahili.

According to reports, Njenga was found dead on a rail track in Dagoretti, Nairobi, after being hit by a train. The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear, and the police have launched an investigation.

Laugh Industry, the management company of Churchill Show, released a statement expressing their condolences and shedding more light on the events leading up to Njenga's death.

"He was found dead on rail tracks this morning after being hit by a train. It is not clear under which circumstances this fate befell him, but police are involved and more will be divulged later," the statement read.

Churchill, the host of the popular comedy show, expressed his sadness and reflected on the good times Njenga had on his show.

"Sad day…It is with great sadness we grieve the death of Njenga Mswahili…May God’s will be done," Churchill wrote.

Laugh Industry also revealed that Njenga had been struggling with his well-being and had been involved in a rehabilitation program with the help of his family and friends.

"On behalf of the management of Laugh Industry, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and the entire Kenyan comedy industry at large for the loss," the statement added.

Fans of Njenga took to social media to express their condolences, with many sharing messages of sadness and shock at the news of his passing.
